Definition: Life by the flesh is an attitude that includes actions. It is a life of pride and self-reliance. Life by the spirit has the same struggles, but it looks in humble reliance upon God for all of life and it grows in humility before men.

3. How do we know if we are being led by the Spirit?
1. Life marked by repentance and faith, not self-reliance.
2. Life marked by coming to and trusting in Christ alone as your only hope for salvation.

Where are you today? Christ is calling us to life. Will you embrace it or walk on your own?
