Galatians 3:1-5

  1. How does one receive the Spirit?
    1. False view: only special people have it.
      1. Those so gifted
      2. Holy Spirit comes and seals us when we believe: 2 Corinthians 1:22, Ephesians 1:13.
    2. False practice: It makes no real difference in our lives.
      1. We say one thing and do another.
  2. The Gospel:
    1. What is our message?
    2. What happens when we believe?
      1. Darkness into light: 2 Corinthians 4:6, Acts 26:18, Ephesians 5:8. 1 Thessalonians 5:4-5.
  3. What happens in the lives of many?
    1. We believe and are filled with joy. Life changes.
      1. Old things are gone (we think) and all things are new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
    2. Then we learn to “follow the law.” We are “Perfected by the flesh.”
      1. What does this mean?
  4. Key Question: Are you experiencing the love and power of God in your everyday life?
    1. God only works one way.
