The End Times: Part II

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18, 5:1-6 & Revelation 20:1-15

1. Allow clear passages to interpret unclear passages
1. Do not make a major doctrine from one passage.
2. Allow the Biblical genre to speak. It will determine how to interpret the passage. Context is King!
3. Do not fear for those who have died in Christ. They are not lost!
1. They will come back with Jesus.
4. Is this passage about a “secret” return?
1. “Lord’s own word” (Gospels).
2. Be with the Lord forever.
5. Coming like a thief in the night.
1. Therefore be ready!
6. The issue of the 1000 years: The Millennium
1. Not mentioned elsewhere in the Scripture but here.
7. Much talk of Satan, the martyred saints, and reigning with Christ.
1. Satan is then defeated and there is judgement for the righteous and the wicked.
