John 4:1-26

1. A story of past evangelism experience
1. Evangelism? Changing your mind against your will?
2. The more I knew, the less I witnessed!
2. Evangelism: Telling about God’s work in your life and the world.
1. Coming from underneath – Jesus and the woman at the well.
1. Cannot preach down to or look down on others for effective witness.
2. Jesus should not:
   1. Talk to a woman
   2. Talk to a Samaritan
   3. Talk to a loose woman
2. Asking questions: be more concerned in the individual than they are in themselves.
1. Why? God loves you more than you can imagine! We are all created for relationship with God!
1. Questions of meaning: Desire for relationships.
2. God is seeking true worshipers: Spirit and truth – John 4:23-24.
3. Invitation
1. Into relationship – seek Jesus, know Jesus
2. To tell others: seek Jesus and tell what you know.
1. If it is not a living relationship, he offers so much more.
