Do We Really Sacrifice?

The message from Sunday was given by one of our elders, Bud Cushman. He picked up right in the Gospel of Luke where Pastor Greg left off. It was a short passage, just four verses in length, but it had quite a bit to say. The passage was about the widow and her mites - Luke 21:1-4.

We are called to give generously, but how many of us give before we even feel the pinch? The woman in this passage gave all she had in this world to God. This is exactly the type of sacrificial giving that Christ calls his followers to practice.
