Give Unto Caesar

The timing of this message was purely coincidental. For many people, this time of year is dreaded: tax time. One of the ways the religious leaders tried to trap Jesus was to get Him to make a stand either for or against paying taxes. It appeared to be one of those no-win situations.

Instead, Jesus’ answer was remarkable: “Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” Do religion and politics meld together or should they be completely separate? Pastor Greg tackles these and other issues in this week’s message: “Religion and Politics.”
