Parable of the Ten Minas

From the Life Application New Testament Commentary: “Because the crowd was expecting the Kingdom of God, Jesus told them a parable that corrected their misunderstanding about the nature of hte Kingdom. Here, Jesus tied responsbile stewardship of resources to the coming Kingdom of God. . . This parable encourages listeners to wisely use their resources for the master’s benefit. The implication is clear: Christians are accountable to Jesus for the way they use their time, money, and abilities.”
