The Prayer of Faith

Luke 18:1-8

1. A successful completion of a long task!
1. Yet, do you know the prayer of faith!
2. Context: What is Jesus saying?
1. This parable is about prayer.
2. God is not like the earthly judge.
3. The point: pray for justice.
3. Justice is often so different from our desires
1. What is God leading you to do? To be?
2. Cry out to the Lord. Persist! Continue! Do not let go!
1. So opposite of our consumer, throw-away culture
4. Will the Son of Man find faith on earth?
1. The test of faith is persistence in prayer
2. The prayer of faith is believing even against the odds, against what you see and against how you think it may turn out.
