1 Corinthians 12:14-27

1. Cheer up! You are worse than you think!
1. Stop pretending! This is so hard because of our self-deceit.
2. How? Repent and believe
2. Cheer up! God loves your more than you can imagine.
1. Evidence: Christ came, died, and rose again.
2. Only world religion that takes sin seriously!
1. No denial
2. No diminishing
3. Christ took it head on
3. Gospel produces: authentic humility and authentic boldness.

1. We often get this confused! We have:
1. Little humility: vss. 14-20
1. -pride
2. Misdirected boldness: vss. 21-26
1. Treating others badly; denying our place
2. “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.” vs. 27
