Our Calling in Grace

1 Corinthians 12:1-7

1. Three means of Growth in Grace
1. The Gospel, Prayer, and using our Spiritual gifts
2. The Foundation: we all have spiritual gifts!
1. 1 Cor 12:7 and 1 Cor 12:1-3 explained
2. 2 Cor 1:18-22. In Christ, we all have the Spirit.
3. Putting it another way, we all worship something: Do you want real purpose? Do you really want to grow in grace?
3. What is your Passion? Finding your inner calling.
1. Inward compulsion and desire: God gave it.
1. It can change in time!
2. “Do not ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive.”
4. What is your gifting?
1. Internal witness: Wow this feels good! I love it!
2. External witness: Someone says, “Wow was I blessed by this! You are really gifted at . . . “
3. Results will come: not always, but a good general rule.
5. Now it is up to you! In light of God’s love for you, will you strive to discover your passion and gifting?
